T. Dumitrică is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, a Graduate Faculty member in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, Civil Engineering, Physics and Scientific Computing. His major research interests are in the modeling and simulation of materials. Research topics include nanomechanics, electronic and heat transport at the nanoscale, development of distinct element methods for the mesoscale, symmetry-adapted atomistic scale computation, and coherent response of matter to light.
