Ján Lančok received PhD at Czech Technical University at Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering in 2000. He carried out post-doctoral work at research centre ENEA Frascati in Italy (2001) and later at CNRS Claude Bernard Lyon I University (2002-2003). Since 2011 he is head of Department of Analyses of Functional materials in Institute of Physics in Prague. His research activities are focused on the deposition of thin films by Physical Vapour Deposition techniques as well as development of new hybrid vacuum deposition systems for fabrication of metal dielectric, optical and magnetic films and characterisation of their properties.
