Abdullah YILDIZ received his PhD in physics from Gazi University (Turkey) in 2001 with a study on epitaxial ternary III-V semiconductor compounds. He worked on the electrical and magnetic properties of these compounds with disordered. Thereafter he switched to the field of metal-oxide thin films and nanostructures, carrier transport phenomena as well as thermoelectric properties. His ongoing research interests concentrate on developing new materials for photovoltaics and understanding and controlling the optoelectronic processes occurring within the devices.
