Dr. Valentina Dinca is researcher at the National Institute for Lasers, Plasma and Radiation Physics. She received her PhD in Medical Physics from Bucharest University, Romania in collaboration with FORTH-IESL, Heraklion, Crete, Greece, and completed postdoctoral research at Barcelona University (Spain) and EMPA (Switzerland). Her work implies using lased based techniques for applications starting from shape memory alloys coatings, bio and chemical sensors to surface processing for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Her latest research focuses on the materials, technology and integration of soft or hard bio interfaces including polymeric coatings, biomimetic composite materials, ceramics and metallic alloys for in vitro studies.
