László Almásy studied physics at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest. He received Ph.D. in physical chemistry at Université Paris 6 Pierre et Marie Curie, in 2003, the thesis work was prepared at the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin, France. He carried out post-doctoral work at Helsinki University of Technology, and later at Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, in the field of neutron scattering. Since 2011 he works at the Wigner Research Centre for Physics, in Budapest. His research interests focus on experimental studies of soft condensed matter by neutron and X-ray scattering methods.
