MAGNETRANS group, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain
Professor Farkhad Aliev leads MAGNETRANS group at Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain, formed in the early 2000s since his incorporation to UAM, after his stay as a research professor at the Catholic University of Leuven (1995-1998) and Lomonosov Moscow State University where he obtained PhD degree in 1984. MAGNETRANS group has pioneered experimental studies in magnetization dynamics and noise in magnetic and superconducting nanostructures in Spain.
Currently the group is composed of permanent staff: Farkhad Aliev and 3 non-permanent staff. The group also has associated members in various research projects: prof. Juan Jose Palacios (UAM) and prof. Juan Carlos Cuevas (UAM). International collaborations include Universite Poincare Nancy, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, MIT Boston, AMU Poznan, National Taiwan University and others. Six PhD theses have been defended by former members of the group since 2005, five of them in topic related with noise in spintronics and magnetization dynamics. Prof. Aliev organised three International INC Summer schools (2004-2015) and ESF-FONE conference (2009). Publication metrics of Farkhad Aliev could be found though his researcher ID.
