Cameliu Himcinschi studied Physics at “Babes-Bolyai” University Cluj-Napoca, Romania (1992-1997). He received his Ph.D. in experimental physics at Chemnitz University of Technology, Germany in 2003. He carried out a post-doctoral work at Max-Plank Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle, Germany (2005-2007) in the field of strained Silicon, followed by a post-doc at Chemnitz University of Technology (2007-2009) where the focus of the research was on organic semiconductors. Since 2009 he is the head of the Raman Laboratory at the Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. His research interest focus on multiferroic, ferroelectric thin films, semiconductors and other complex oxides materials.
