Professor Bogdan R. Bułka is a head of Division of Physics of Magnetics and Cooperative Phenomena and leads Department of Solid State Theory at IMP PAS. He received PhD in 1979, Habilitation in 1989 at IMP PAS and title of Professor in 2003 for research of low dimensional conductors, correlated electrons, spintronics and transport in nanostructures. Currently he with his group is engaged in research of spin and charge dynamics, construction of efficient spin qubit systems, thermodynamics of electrons in nanostructures far from equilibrium as well as current correlation in hybrid systems with superconducting nanowires. He participated in many national and international research projects, e.g. he was a coordinator of the project SPINTRA within EUROCORES FoNE organized by ESF (2006-2009), a leader of Polish node in Marie Curie Research Training Network in PF 6 (two young Romanian researchers participated in the project) and in Initial Training Network in PF7. He organized and co-organized many network meetings and conferences; the Division together with A. Mickiewicz University organizes every three years European Conference Physics of Magnetism (the next Conference PM’17 will be held on June 26-30, 2017 in Poznań).
