To honour and encourage young scientists and students, the Organizing Committee has awarded a number of prizes, financially supported by the ICPAM sponsors.

ICPAM-12 Awards

The Awards are offered for the most original contributions of young scientists:

  • Sponsor’s Prize (500 EUR), offered by AcelorMittal to Elena KOZHUNOVA, for the oral presentation “1H NMR study of thermo-induced collapse of polyelectrolyte microgels”;
  • Ilie Bursuc Prize (300 EUR) is offered by Cristina David, offered by Cristina David to Irina Elena RASCHIP, for the oral presentation “Novel xantan-based cryogels with potential applications in food industry”;

  • ICPAM-12 Organizing Committee Prize (200 EUR), offered by the Organizing Committee to Mihai ASANDULESA, for the oral presentation “Dielectric spectroscopy investigation of new polyimides and copolyimides based on triphenylmethane diamines”;
  • ICPAM-12 Organizing Committee Prize (200 EUR), offered by the Organizing Committee to Daphne DAVELOU, for the poster presentation “Quasi 1D TMD nanoribbons: metallic edge semiconductors. A theoretical study”;
  • Romanian Physical Society prize (50 EUR), offered by Romanian Physical Society to Marius SOROCEANU, for the poster presentation “The role of substituents and plasma exposure in enhancing the interactions at metal/polysilane interface”.

 

PAMS-3 Awards

The Awards are offered for the most original contributions of young scientists:

  • Sponsor’s prize (400 EUR), offered by AcelorMittal to Ana-Maria PANAITESCU, for the poster presentation “Novel Cu nanorod arrays for optoelectronic devices”;
  • PAMS-3 Organizing Committee Prize (200 EUR), offered by the Organizing Committee to Florian GELLÉ, for the poster presentation “Guideline to atomically flat TiO2-terminated SrTiO3(001) substrate”;
  • Prize offered by the Romanian Physical Society (50 EUR), offered by Romanian Physical Society to Alexander GULIN, for the poster presentation “The study of quantum dots chemical composition profiles by Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS)”.

Eligibility and procedure

The prize winner must be the speaker of the presentation (oral or poster).
Letters of application from the interested participants are accepted by the organizing committee, by e-mail on [email protected], until the beginning of the conference. The letter must specify the age of the applicant, her/his current status (student, PhD student, researcher, etc.), as well as a statement, according to which the presented contribution has not been published in any journal or presented in any other Conference/ Seminar/ Symposium or submitted for consideration of any award.

The final selection for the Awards will be done by a specially constituted committee and the recipients of the prizes will be announced during the closing ceremony of ICPAM-12 and PAMS-3.
